CNL Free audit

Cancel the ServiceTitan contract. Keep the software.

For HVAC, plumbing and electrical shops with 10 to 40 techs. CNL rebuilds what you use in ServiceTitan, Podium and the tools around them as one system you own: a fixed price to build it, a flat fee to run it, no per-tech fees and a 30-day exit.

Fixed quote. No per-tech fees. Yours to keep.

Example for a 20-technician shop, not a client result. ServiceTitan does not publish prices: $374 a tech is the midpoint of the $250–$498 range CostBench tracked in July 2026. Podium Core from CostBench; CallRail, DocuSign (10% of techs) and Zapier from their own pricing pages, October 2026.

What owners report about their software.

Field service software is rented by the tech, on contracts that renew themselves. Here is what shop owners have posted in public reviews and complaints, and what CNL does instead.

ServiceTitan

Owners report early-termination demands from about $16,000 to $67,230, and auto-renewals that need written notice 30 days before the renewal date (BBB, Apr to Sep 2026). One owner reports the price doubled after two years at the same rate (BBB, Jul 2026).

BBB complaints Trustpilot reviews

CNL: a fixed quote, a flat monthly fee locked for 24 months, and you can leave on 30 days' notice.

Housecall Pro

Trustpilot lists 2.9 stars from 699 reviews, and owners there report sharp price rises (Oct 2026). BBB lists 80 complaints in 3 years; several report charges after cancelling (BBB, May to Aug 2026).

Trustpilot reviews BBB complaints

CNL: no subscription to cancel. The monthly fee is flat, locked for 24 months, and stops 30 days after you give notice.

Jobber

Owners report repeated price increases (Trustpilot, Aug 2026). One owner reports losing access to their customer data during a billing dispute; Jobber replied it could not find the account (Trustpilot, Jul 2026).

Trustpilot reviews

CNL: your customer data sits in your own cloud account from day one, so no billing question can lock you out of it.

FieldEdge

Owners report support tickets that got no answer, and being told to pay the remaining contract balance to cancel an agreement that renewed itself (Trustpilot, Feb 2024 and Apr 2026).

Trustpilot reviews

CNL: a named builder on call who knows your system, and a 30-day exit with the code in your GitHub.

Service Fusion

One owner reports a price rise announced two weeks ahead (Aug 2025), and accounts deactivated until a year was paid in advance (Trustpilot, Oct 2025).

Trustpilot reviews

CNL: the monthly fee is set in the contract and locked for 24 months. Your system keeps running while you decide.

Podium

A BBB complaint reports a $22,094 early-termination buyout demand (BBB, Oct 2026). Owners on Trustpilot report 12-month auto-renewals (Jul to Oct 2026).

BBB complaints Trustpilot reviews

CNL: review requests built into your own system, with no separate contract to renew.

Paraphrased from public BBB complaints and 1 and 2 star Trustpilot reviews, read on October 29, 2026. These are owners' own reports, not findings by CNL, and the vendors reply to many of them on the same pages.

From rented to owned, in five steps.

  1. 1

    Show us what you rent

Two ways in. Pick the tools you want to replace and how many people use each one, or send us your invoices and we map everything for you.

Picking takes about five minutes. Your audit comes back within five business days.

  2. 2

    We map what you use

Every screen, field and automation your team touches in a normal month goes on the list. The rest stays behind.

Pendo's 2019 Feature Adoption Report found 80% of features in a typical software product are rarely or never used.

  3. 3

    Built around your industry

One system with your job types, your price book, your approval steps and the words your team already uses. AI agents take the routine work: triage, follow-ups, first drafts.

Three to ten weeks, depending on the plan.

  4. 4

    You export, we import

You export your data from each old tool, with a step-by-step guide we send for each one, and share the files with us. We import everything into your new system and check it record by record.

Your old tools keep running until switch-over day.

  5. 5

    You keep the difference.

We run it from here. Hosting, security patches, backups and fixes are covered by a flat monthly fee. New features are priced before we start. Cancel the old subscriptions the day you go live.

What you getOne toolCore stackWhole stack

Straight answers.

What does the CNL fee pay for?

The rebuild itself: the audit, design, build, testing, moving your data, training your team and the switch-over day. It is a fixed quote, set before we start. If the build takes longer than planned, that cost is ours.

What does the monthly fee cover?

Everything that keeps the system running: hosting set-up and monitoring, security patches, backups, library and AI model upgrades, and bug fixes. Core stack includes one small update a month and Whole stack two. The fee is locked for 24 months, and it never goes up when you hire.

How are updates priced?

From a fixed list, quoted before we start: $450 for a small update such as a field, report or rule, $1,900 for a new workflow, screen or integration, and a fixed quote for a new module. Nothing is billed by the hour.

Can you really replace ServiceTitan?

We rebuild the parts a shop runs on every day: the dispatch board, the customer records (CRM), estimates and invoices, the pricebook, memberships and review requests. Payments (Stripe), phones (Twilio or CallRail) and QuickBooks stay as integrations, because they are cheaper to connect than to own. An offline app for technicians in the field is a bigger build and is quoted as Whole stack. The audit lists what you rely on, and if you depend on something we cannot match, we say so and that tool stays.

What about my ServiceTitan contract?

We plan the switch-over around your renewal date and the notice window in your agreement, so you can give notice on time. You keep running the old system until the new one is live, and your team switches on a day you pick. We do not give legal advice on contracts: for early-termination terms, ask your lawyer.

What if it does not pay for itself?

We only start when the audit shows the rebuild paying for itself within 12 months of going live, measured against the invoices it replaces. If it has not by month 12, the monthly fee is waived until it has. When the numbers do not work, the audit says so and we tell you to keep renting.

Who owns the code, and what if CNL disappears?

You do. The code lives in your GitHub, the data in your cloud account, and every system ships with its documentation, so any capable developer can take it over. Leave with thirty days' notice and we hand everything over.

Where is it hosted, and is it secure?

In a cloud account you own, billed to you by the provider at cost. Every system ships with single sign-on, roles and permissions, encrypted backups and an audit log, and security patches are part of the monthly fee.

Are other companies really doing this?

Yes. In Retool's 2026 Build vs Buy report, 35% of the 817 teams surveyed, all Retool users, had already replaced at least part of a SaaS tool with software they built. AI coding tools have made owned software far cheaper to build and to keep running.

What will you not rebuild?

Email, accounting ledgers and payroll. Tax rules, bank feeds and filings change too often to be worth owning, and some tools are simply cheaper to rent. The audit says which ones.

How long until we switch over?

Our targets: about three weeks for one tool, six weeks for two to four, and ten weeks for a whole stack. Your old tools keep running until the new system is live.

Show us your bill.

Within five business days you get a line-by-line rebuild plan, a fixed CNL fee and the month it pays for itself. The audit is free, and the plan is yours either way.
