For HVAC, plumbing and electrical shops
Service Fusion alternatives: a flat price that is hard to beat, and when it is not
Service Fusion charges a flat price for unlimited users, from $208 to $533 a month billed yearly. For most shops that is hard to beat. Here is the price, how to leave, and the one case where owning wins.
- $208 to $533a month for Starter to Pro, billed yearly, unlimited users (Oct 2026)
- $245 to $627a month for the same plans billed monthly
- $19,1883 years of Pro billed yearly, less than owning one tool
Short answer: keep renting. Service Fusion Pro is $533 a month billed yearly with unlimited users, or $19,188 over 3 years. Owning one tool is $21,840 over 3 years. That flat price is hard to beat. Owning only wins on a bigger stack, such as a 20-tech shop weighing a move up to ServiceTitan.

How to cancel Service Fusion
- Read your plan and billing date. Check your billing settings for the plan, the cycle and the next charge date. If you cannot find the cancel terms, ask support in writing.
- Export before you give notice. Download your customers, jobs and invoices while your login works.
- Have the replacement live first. Scheduling, dispatch and invoicing should run on the new system before you stop paying.
- Cancel in writing and keep the reply. Name the account and the end date, and ask for written confirmation.
- Watch the next card statement. If a charge appears after the end date, send your confirmation to support and to your card issuer.
Service Fusion or owning, priced over 3 years
| Path | A month | 3 years | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rent: Service Fusion Pro, unlimited users | $533 | $19,188 | Baseline |
| Own one tool (CNL One tool) | $440 | $21,840 | Costs more over 3 years. Keep renting. A flat unlimited-user price is hard to beat. |
| Rent: Service Fusion Pro, Podium Core, CallRail, Zapier | $1,151 | $41,436 | $533 + $399 + $150 + $69 |
| Own: the same four tools as a Core stack (CNL Core stack) | $740 | $44,640 | Costs more over 3 years. Keep renting. |
| Rent: 20-tech shop on ServiceTitan, Podium, CallRail, DocuSign, Zapier | $8,188 | $294,768 | Five vendors, per-tech fees |
| Own: the same 20-tech stack as one system (CNL Whole stack) | $1,140 | $71,040 | Pays back in 5 months. For shops thinking of moving up from Service Fusion to ServiceTitan. |
Owned rows: CNL fee once ($6,000 for one tool, $18,000 for the Core stack, $30,000 for the Whole stack) plus the flat monthly run fee and about $150 a month of hosting at cost, held flat for 36 months. The stacks are examples, not client results. Podium Core at $399 is a CostBench estimate. ServiceTitan is an estimate of $374 a tech a month (CostBench midpoint of $250 to $498), so 20 techs is $7,480. The rest of the 20-tech stack is CallRail $150, Zapier $69 and DocuSign 2 users at $45 each. Payback on the 20-tech stack: $30,000 divided by $7,048 saved a month, rounded up to 5 months.
Rule of thumb: owning pays back within 12 months when the bills it replaces add up to at least $940 a month for one tool, $2,240 a month for two to four tools, or $3,640 a month for five or more.
What CNL rebuilds from Service Fusion
- The parts of Service Fusion your shop really uses, listed line by line in the audit
- One system with no per-tech or per-user fees
- The code in your own GitHub and the data in your own cloud account
- A 30-day exit if you want to leave
Not rebuilt: email, accounting ledgers and payroll. We only start when the audit shows the rebuild paying for itself within 12 months of going live. If Service Fusion is your only big bill, the audit will tell you to keep it.

How much does Service Fusion cost per month?
Billed yearly: Starter $208, Plus $325 and Pro $533 a month, all with unlimited users. Billed monthly the same plans are $245, $382 and $627.
How do I cancel Service Fusion?
Export your data first. Check your billing settings, or ask support in writing how to cancel, and get the end date confirmed in writing. Check your next card statement.
Is there a cheaper alternative to Service Fusion?
Rarely. Pro is $19,188 over 3 years with unlimited users, and owning one tool is $21,840. Keep renting unless you are replacing a much bigger stack.
Is Service Fusion worth it for a growing HVAC or plumbing company?
On price, yes. The price is flat for unlimited users, so adding techs does not raise it. Compare costs again only if you add several other tools or move up to a per-tech system.
When does owning beat Service Fusion?
When you leave it for a bigger stack. A 20-tech ServiceTitan shop paying $8,188 a month across five tools can own the whole stack for $1,140 a month and pay back in 5 months.
